For want of a Script

"For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the message was lost.
For want of a message the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail"

A proverb that speaks to how small mistakes compounded can have disatorus consequences. In a production where we have teams of persons working together alot can go wrong quickly. While in the short term it might seem tedious to create and follow set processes, if you wish to grow your skillsets and team then you must develop a workflow to adhere to.

“For want of a script, no storyboard was done.
For want of the storyboard, the animatic was unclear.
For want of a animatic, the animators lacked clear direction.
For want of the direction, the animators the production.
For the delays in production, the contract was lost.
For want of the contract, the studio went bankrupt.
And all for the want of  a script.” -Jonathan Roberts 2019
